Inspirational wedding show debuts in New York

Luxury wedding brand Bridelux held its first ever USA Atelier last weekend at the InterContinental Barclay New York, creating a wonderfully bespoke experience for over 700 couples and wedding industry professionals alike.With promises of luxury, elegance, and inspiration from the highest quality of brands not typically found at bridal shows, the event held on Sunday did not disappoint. Complete with a full array of luxury brands, wedding venues, and services, participants included Reem Acra, Monvieve, Ladurée, Louis XIII, Taj Hotels, Vivienne Westwood, Ceci New York, Colin Cowie and Rafanelli Events, among many others.LadureeA selection of British brands & venues also traveled to New York to showcase at the Atelier, such as Historic Royal Palaces’ Kensington Palace and Banqueting Hall, as well as florist Philippa Craddock and Claire Ptak of Violet Cakes, who served as the florist and cake maker to the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.Historic Royal PalacesFrom the moment of entry, guests were wowed by extravagant and picturesque installations, with stunning floral backdrops from Atlas Floral throughout. Beginning with a wonderland-like perennial design by Birch Event Design, attendees could not resist stopping in awe as they ascended the staircase to what many referred to as “bridal heaven.”Birch Event DesignStopping to capture photos in every corner of the space, several highlights included a elaborate ice sculpture created by Okamoto Studio and a luscious floral lounge area by Adam Leffel Productions. Guests even snapped stunning shots in the bathrooms, which featured massive cloud-like arrangements of white hydrangeas cascading from the walls and garnishing every vanity and mirror, again created by Josh and his talented team from Birch Event Design.Adam Leffel ProductionsAlso drawing attention as some of the event’s most Instagramable elements was the wearable art presented by some of the industry’s most respected fashion labels, including renowned custom wedding gown designer Suzie Turner and Reem Acra. Vivienne Westwood presented its Couture and Made-to-order collections, featuring key design notes from the atelier. Traditional tailoring techniques combined with historical and experimental pattern cutting create Westwood’s selection of sumptuous bridal gowns and cocktail dresses.Vivienne WestwoodAlison Miller, Creative Director of Monvieve, which showcased its exquisite bridal veils said of the event, “Bridelux surpassed all my expectations.  The brides that came through were lovely— thoughtful and engaging.  Constructive in every sense, we’ve booked new appointments and are looking to follow up with many more.  In support, every vendor brought so much to the table.
