Rosewood London:

There are not many wedding venues in London where guests arrive to find two dramatic staircases sweeping up from the lobby to a balcony above. At Rosewood London, that moment happens in the Grand Ballroom Foyer. It sets the tone for everything that follows. Built in 1914 as the headquarters of the Pearl Assurance Company, this Grade II listed Edwardian building on High Holborn has been carefully restored. As a result, it feels genuinely historic rather than merely dressed to appear so.

The hotel offers eight private celebration spaces and five named wedding packages ranging from 15 to 430 guests. In addition, it has four restaurants, 264 rooms and 44 suites. A dedicated events team works with couples and their planners from initial enquiry through to the day itself.

The Grand Ballroom and Foyer

The Grand Ballroom is the principal space for larger celebrations. It holds up to 430 for a ceremony or standing reception and up to 280 for a seated dinner and dancing beneath statement chandeliers. The scale suits formal weddings where the grandeur of the space is central to the occasion.

The Grand Ballroom Foyer works as the natural reception space before dinner. The two staircases create a striking arrival point and a strong setting for photography. It holds up to 300 for a standing reception and up to 200 for a ceremony. Together with the Ballroom, the two spaces connect in a way that gives the wedding day a natural flow

Further Wedding Spaces

Ballrooms One, Two and Three each hold up to 150 guests for a ceremony and combine to hold up to 240. They suit mid-sized weddings where couples want the Rosewood experience without the full scale of the Grand Ballroom.

The Living Room is flooded with natural light and holds up to 60 for a ceremony and 40 for a wedding breakfast. In particular, its residential atmosphere makes it well suited to smaller, more personal celebrations where a formal event room would feel too large.

The Dining Room has its own show kitchen, which allows the culinary team to offer interactive food and wine pairing experiences as part of the wedding weekend. It is a genuinely distinctive space that adds something different to a multi-day celebration.

Sir George is a warm, wood-panelled room with direct access to the Marble Staircase. It holds up to 40 guests for an intimate ceremony and suits rehearsal dinners and smaller gatherings throughout the stay.

Wedding Packages

Five named packages are available, each developed around the scale and style of the wedding celebration. The Rose, Pearl and Noble packages are designed for the Grand Ballroom with a minimum of 100 guests. Champagne on arrival is included across all three, with Gusbourne, Ruinart and Billecart-Salmon featured by tier respectively. The Marble and Rose Bronze packages suit more intimate celebrations from 15 guests upwards.

All packages include preferential room rates for wedding guests, bespoke menus by the culinary team and butler service across the suites. In addition, The Perfect Match is a complimentary honeymoon offer available to couples who marry at the hotel.

Holborn Dining Room and Bars

Holborn Dining Room is the hotel’s principal restaurant and one of the most established in the area. The Pie Room within it has built a strong reputation in its own right. Scarfes Bar suits pre-wedding drinks, post-ceremony gatherings and late evening celebrations. Furthermore, Mirror Room and The Terrace, a Mediterranean-inspired summer courtyard, give the wedding party additional options for dining across an extended stay.

Accommodation

The hotel has 264 rooms and 44 suites and signature suites, which the hotel describes as among the most spacious in the city. Butler service is available across the suite categories. The Pearl Suite is one of the flagship accommodations, with city views and a marble bathroom. As a result, the hotel works well for wedding parties wanting to keep guests together in one central London property for the full duration of the stay.

Is Rosewood London Right for Your Wedding?

Rosewood London suits couples who want a grand, formal London wedding in a building with genuine architectural presence. The two staircases, the chandelier-lit Ballroom, the 1914 Edwardian heritage and the five tailored packages make it one of the more considered grand hotel wedding venues in London. Moreover, the Holborn location offers a central but quieter setting than the busier West End junctions, which works well for guests staying across the weekend.

However, it is not suited to couples wanting a boutique or intimate venue, an exclusive use countryside property or a more relaxed celebration.
