Palazzo Ripetta:

Palazzo Ripetta is located in central Rome, within walking distance of the city’s main landmarks. It sits on a quieter street close to the shopping district, which makes it easier for destination weddings.

The building retains original features, while the interiors have been updated. It suits couples looking for a ballroom setting within a hotel, with everything in one place.

Accommodation

The hotel includes 78 guest rooms across both the historic and renovated sections of the building.

Room layouts vary due to the structure of the property, although the overall style remains consistent.

Weddings at Palazzo Ripetta

This venue suits couples planning a wedding in Rome with a central location and a clear structure to the day.

  • Central Rome location within walking distance of key landmarks
  • Ballroom for seated receptions
  • Garden courtyard for outdoor events
  • Suitable for mid-sized weddings
  • Indoor and outdoor event spaces
  • In-house catering

The layout works best for weddings where each part of the day follows a set flow.

Ceremony & Reception Spaces

The ballroom is the main event space and accommodates up to 120 guests seated. The venue recommends around 60 guests for the ideal layout, particularly for long banquet table setups. The minimum wedding size is approximately 30 guests.

The space includes marble flooring, pillars and high ceilings. It was originally a conservatory dating back to the 15th century. The built-in stage can be removed if required, and lighting and a projector screen are available.

Symbolic ceremonies can take place in the ballroom. If both the ceremony and reception are held in the same space, the hotel requires approximately two to three hours for turnaround.

The foyer connects directly to the ballroom and is typically used for welcome drinks. The layout is fixed, as furniture cannot be moved and pillars can affect space at higher guest numbers.

The garden courtyard accommodates up to 100 guests and is often used for drinks receptions, summer ceremonies or brunch events. DJs are not permitted in this space, and events finish at 11pm.

A rooftop terrace is also available, hosting up to 80 guests standing or 40 seated. A DJ is permitted here, although the space also closes at 11pm. Due to lift access, the main celebration is usually held on the ground floor.

Music inside the venue is permitted until approximately 11.00-11.30pm, with service ending at 11.30pm and guest departure by midnight.

Food & Guest Experience

All catering is managed in-house and overseen by the executive chef, with a dedicated pastry chef preparing wedding cakes.

Couples can bring in their own suppliers for décor and production. Installations must be freestanding, as hanging elements and draping are not allowed.

Recommended suppliers are available, and external planners are welcome.

A boardroom within the hotel can be used as a preparation space if required.

Location

Palazzo Ripetta is centrally located in Rome and within walking distance of many of the city’s main attractions.

The surrounding area includes shopping streets and restaurants, while remaining slightly removed from the busiest tourist areas. This makes it practical for guests staying in the city.

Practical Information

Palazzo Ripetta operates as a hotel venue, so event availability and use of spaces depend on season and overall occupancy.

The venue is best suited to mid-sized weddings due to the capacity and layout of its event spaces.

Timing restrictions apply to music and outdoor areas, which should be considered when planning the schedule.

Pricing is provided on enquiry.
