The hotel offers exclusive use for weddings with more than 100 guests, which means the entire estate, all 47 bedrooms and suites, three bars, five restaurants and the spa become private for the duration. For celebrations of up to 100 guests, individual spaces are available without exclusive use. Furthermore, weddings of more than 150 guests can add a bespoke marquee within the grounds through one of the hotel’s preferred partners.
The Wedding Spaces
Six named spaces are available across the estate, each with a distinct character.
The Grantley Suite is the principal event space. It holds up to 150 for both a ceremony and a seated dinner. It has a private terrace overlooking the Japanese Gardens, a private bar, a stage and dancefloor, and state-of-the-art audio and visual technology. Together with its foyer area, it provides everything needed for a self-contained celebration.
The Music Room is located in the Main Hall of the historic house. It holds up to 120 for a ceremony. The original period features, ornate high ceilings and contemporary artworks give it a character that the modern Grantley Suite does not replicate. As a result, it suits couples who want the sense of the historic house rather than a purpose-built event space.
The Fountains Wing Atrium holds up to 100 for a ceremony and is available exclusively when the entire Fountains Wing and its 26 bedrooms are reserved. This includes the Presidential Suite, six Superior Suites and two Junior Suites. It provides one of the more private and contained wedding setups within the estate.
The Summer House is a licensed outdoor ceremony space on the front lawn, holding up to 20 guests. In addition, the Gardens and Grounds offer outdoor ceremony settings across the Front Lawns, West Lawn and Garden Pavilion for larger celebrations.
The Orchard hosts drinks receptions for up to 150, with 180-degree views of the grounds, lawn games and a private bar. It flows directly onto the West Lawn for additional outdoor space.
Valeria’s Champagne and Cocktail Bar closes the evening. Its 1920s glamour-inspired décor, private booths, DJ booth and dancefloor make it the natural home for the after-party, with access available exclusively to wedding guests.
The Royal Suite and Accommodation
The Royal Suite is reserved for the couple on the wedding night. It features a striking mezzanine floor, high ceilings and far-reaching views of the gardens, fountain and grounds. The hotel has 47 bedrooms and suites in total, ranging from Cosy Rooms to the Presidential Suite. Five bedrooms are available at a discounted rate for wedding parties, with a further 10 held on allocation for guests.
The Three Graces Spa and ELITE Gym are available to guests throughout the stay, making Grantley Hall well suited to a wedding weekend where the experience extends well beyond the ceremony and dinner.
Catering
Menus are bespoke and developed with the couple during a planning menu tasting. The culinary team draws on seasonal, provenance-led produce, and the hotel sommelier recommends Champagne and wines to complement each course. The kitchen accommodates all dietary requirements. All five of the hotel’s restaurants, including Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, are available to wedding parties as part of exclusive use bookings.

Getting There
Grantley Hall sits near Ripon in North Yorkshire, HG4 3ET, approximately ten miles from Harrogate and 25 miles from York. Leeds Bradford Airport is around 30 minutes by road. Harrogate railway station has regular services from Leeds, which connects to London Kings Cross via the East Midlands Railway. York station has direct services from London Kings Cross in under two hours. The rural setting means private transfers or hired coaches are the most practical option for guests arriving by train.
