Gloster House

Gloster House is a recently restored, beautifully decorated, 300-year-old private and family-owned Georgian mansion situated at the foot of Slieve Bloom mountains. The venue offers extensive gardens, fountains, lakes and woodlands and is available for exclusive use weddings. With multiple event spaces, either indoors or outdoors, you can create your perfect wedding day, whether that is an intimate event or a larger celebration.

As the house is strictly an exclusive use venue, your wedding celebration will be just you, your partner, family and friends, a truly private experience. As a privately owned house, this venue offers a different experience to any other country house wedding venue. You could have your ceremony in either an indoor or outdoor space, or alternatively there are churches in nearby towns. There are multiple options for your reception, from the courtyard that is magically illuminated by lanterns, to the White Chapel which can be used for your ceremony and then transformed for a late night disco. Inside the house there are reception rooms of varying sizes, a beautiful double height entrance hall to welcome guests in, a large first floor gallery area or the Garden Room which has doors that lead out onto the gardens and courtyards and can seat up to 180 guests. Gloster House has multiple caterers that they can recommend and they do not charge a corkage fee so there is the option to supply your own drinks. This unique venue only ever has one wedding per week so there is the potential for a second day event, such as a lovely BBQ with all your family and friends. There is an elaborate bridal suite to get pampered and prepared for the day. Gloster House boasts 12 double en-suite period rooms, with 6 in the house and the others split between two on-lite lodges, and can sleep up to 23. For other guests staying locally they can arrange a private shuttle bus service just for your guests.
