Weddings at Amanoi, Vietnam

8th of March 2023

Set on a coastal ridge within a National Park with a rugged forested landscape, Amanoi offers unrivalled luxury and service in a totally unspoilt natural setting. The dramatic coastline, sandy beach and lotus lake give couples a superb choice of locations to get married and celebrate with their family and friends.

Amanoi offers the option of a exclusive venue buy-out for weddings of around 80 guests, or the privacy of your own Residence for smaller weddings, without the need for a total resort buy-out.

The best time of year for a wedding at Amanoi

As it is surrounded by mountains, the resort enjoys its own micro-climate. Rain is very unusual here, even when it is forecast for the local area. Cool sea breezes keep the air temperature comfortable year round. The only month to avoid for weddings are November to January, when stronger winds and rain can make event planning a challenge.

Accommodation for your guests

The rooms are all identical in size, layout and design and are positioned throughout the 42 hectares to give each one complete privacy. Each room has stunning views across pristine forest, either of the sea, the lotus lake or the mountains.

Pavilion rooms have a large deck for relaxing outside and Villas have a deck and private infinity pool. For groups or families travelling together, and particularly suitable for weddings, we recommend the resort's 2 to 5 bedroom Residences.

Each has their own private Pavilion rooms for each couple or family - two under 12s stay free in each room - in addition to a private pool and communal area. The communal area includes an alfresco dining and entertainment area, a huge granite infinity pool with sun loungers and seating areas and a comfortable living and dining room with comfortable sofas, well-stocked book shelves, a huge TV and in-room dining.

Getting married in your own Residence

For smaller weddings, we loved the option of the Residences. You and your guests have complete privacy in their own rooms with a flexible communal space to get together and spend valuable time with close family and friends. The ceremony and reception all takes place in your own private space so there is no requirement to "buy-out" the resort.

Each Residence has a total different setting and a different feel. They can host a ceremony and reception for between 6 and 80 guests, depending on the Residence you choose.

For larger weddings we loved Residence 18. It is immediately above the beach club with a large lawn, shady trees and views across the bay. The dining and living areas, as well as the outside relaxation areas, wrap around three sides of the infinity pool to give a really communal family feel. The lawn is big enough for up to 80 guests.

The clifftop setting of the 2 bedroom ocean view Residence 5 gives perhaps the most breathtaking setting with a long wooden decking "aisle" leading you to a partially shaded veranda set high above the rugged coastline. Perfect for up to 20-40 guests.

Set highest on the coastal ridge is Residence 9. It has sweeping views across the forested valleys and the peaceful central lotus pool, to the sea beyond. The alfresco dining area is just below the pool and living areas, giving two distinct entertaining areas, so this setting would suit a multi-generational group of around 10-40 guests.

For a smaller wedding, Amanoi Ocean Pool Villa 1 has a breathtaking pool with views over the ocean. This would be perfect for up to 12 guests.

Other options for your wedding ceremony and reception

As an alternative to the Residences, Amanoi has several areas that can be privatised for an event. A "buy-out" of the resort is the norm for these larger weddings for 80 - 120 guests.

Options include:

  • A beach wedding with a reception and dancing in the adjacent Beach Club restaurant.
  • A Pavilion wedding on the lotus lake with a cocktail and canapé reception.
  • A ceremony and reception in the main pavilion.

Wedding food and beverage

As you'd expect in a 5* resort of this calibre, the dining experience is second to none. You can expect fresh, high quality Vietnamese cuisine with a really creative twist, as well as western favourites. The quality doesn't waver between the main Pavilion restaurant, the Beach Club and the in-room dining. Fish and seafood is varied and plentiful. Many of the herbs and vegetables are grown in the resort's gardens.

The wine and champagne cellar is extensive, with such great flavours such as lemongrass, ginger and passionfruit readily available in Vietnam, we'd encourage you to work with the chef on a refreshing signature cocktail for your wedding.

Activities for your guests

There is plenty to keep your guests busy before and after the wedding. Activities include hiking in the mountains behind the resort and snorkelling and water sports at the beach. For those wanting to relax, Amanoi has a world class spa with daily classes and a huge range of treatments.

Prices

A wedding celebration at Amanoi starts at $5000 when set up by the hotel. A luxury wedding set up by a selected wedding planning partner costs between $39,600 and $58,800 depending on your chosen location.

A total buy-out of the hotel based on 53 bedrooms costs between USD $75,000-90,000 per night.
