Destination weddings in Vietnam

8th of March 2023

Vietnam is known for its unique culture, incredible cuisine, exciting cities, spectacular lush green national parks and breathtaking coastline. The rich culture and simple lifestyle makes weddings in Vietnam a popular choice with couples looking for something both charming and romantic.

Vietnam shares borders with Laos, Cambodia and China. It has a very long coastline on the China Sea. Internal flights are a convenient and inexpensive way to visit different parts of the country.

Vietnam is on most people's "bucket list". If you are planning a destination wedding here, your family and friends will forever thank you giving them a reason to visit.

The best time of year to visit Vietnam

At over 1000km long, with different weather patterns in different regions, Vietnam is truly a year-round destination. As a general rule, February to April and August to October are the best months for warm days and clear skies. Some parts of Vietnam get very hot from May to August, with afternoon downpours while in other areas it is the best time to visit. For weddings in Vietnam, we suggest early Spring and early Autumn for the best results.

Getting married in Vietnam

There are so many remote and romantic places to say your vows in this beautiful country. Most couples planning destination weddings in Vietnam choose to have a celebrant-led ceremony and to complete the legal formalities at home.

Even if you or your partner is a Vietnamese national, marrying in Vietnam is a lengthy and complicated process. We can talk you through all the steps, but often recommend that non-nationals opt for a celebrant ceremony.

A local celebrant will be happy to carry out a ceremony for you wherever you choose. As it isn't legally binding you can include whatever wording, vows and celebrations you'd like in order to make it truly personal.
